  1. How much does is cost to join the UrbanAdserve Network? There is no cost to join UrbanAdserve. You can sign up for free.

  2. I currently have advertising on my website/ newsletter, do I have to get rid of it? The UrbanAdserve agreement is not exclusive so you can maintain your own advertising relationships or use other ad networks and services such as Google Ad Words.

  3. Do I have to work exclusively with UrbanAdserve? No, the UrbanAdserve agreement is not exclusive. You can choose which advertising spaces you would like UrbanAdserve to sell for you.

  4. Can I choose which UrbanAdserve advertisers are placed on my site? Yes, you always select the campaigns in which you participate. UrbanAdserve does its best to avoid conflicts of interest between featured advertisers and between site content and featured advertisers.

  5. Will UrbanAdserve represent my website? UrbanAdserve offers site representation to sell any available website ad inventory for select publishing partners.

  6. What advertising formats do you sell? UrbanAdserve sells many Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard banner sizes. These include: Leaderboard 728x90, Small Rectangle 150x180, Medium Rectangle 300x 250, Large Rectangle 336 x280 and Wide Skyscrapers 160 x600. These are industry standard sizes that most advertisers use when creating ad campaigns. With larger websites, we offer a higher degree of customization through our sponsorship opportunities that integrate specific content and other media assets. These opportunities will be constructed and evaluated on a case by case basis.

  7. Can I advertise on the UrbanAdserve Network? Yes, you can be both a publisher and an advertiser with UrbanAdserve. We offer special advertising rates for Publishers in our Network.

  8. Are there any requirements to be an UrbanAdserve Publisher? We are constantly evaluating who’s hot and who’s not based on a set of criteria developed by the UrbanAdserve business development team. Please see the Website Criteria section for more information.

  9. What do you mean by “urban trendsetters”? UrbanAdserve “urban trendsetters” are predominantly affluent and rising affluent Black (African American, Caribbean, African, etc.) and English-dominant Latino consumers in the top 10 major metropolitan markets in the United States.

  10. What are the payment terms? Publishers receive a payment of 50% of net revenue for each campaign. Publisher payments are distributed 45 days after the campaign close or after the advertiser has fulfilled its payment to UrbanAdserve. That means, when we get paid you get paid. Publishers can choose to receive their payments via check, PayPal or Google Checkout as long as we have your accounting information, W9 or 1099 on file.

  11. What are typical CPM rates? UrbanAdserve is a premium network and our CPMs reflect this higher level or quality and service.
